Imaginary Beings
Painting in Pixels and Wood

I created "Imaginary Beings," the book, as a companion to my solo Imaginary Beings exhibit at Levy Art and Architecture in San Francisco (February - May 2015). The book houses a lively cast of Imaginary Beings and Beasts and Places, which I represent in woodcarvings, as well as digital imagery, painted with my finger on my iPad.

"Imaginary Beings" offers a selection of Willson's woodcarvings and her digital imagery--which she painted with her finger on an iPad. She also created a unique book design for the Beings, and set the book's type in her own hand-made Rustic LR typeface, with hand-drawn calligraphic titles. Think fresh, playful, thought-provoking with a strong dose of enchantment--and a trampoline to your own creativity.

EXHIBIT DESIGN/CURATION
2011 – 2019 Designed six public exhibitions to illuminate the role folk and fairytales play in
shaping contemporary views of identity worldwide. Projects included exhibit concept/design,
research, proposals, painting, graphics, writing, signage and installation.
